As Jeanette explained afterwards,  she heard Joey Anderson’s mother singing this lovely lullaby but heard it sung nowhere else in Shetland. The word ‘Baloo’ or ‘Balow’ has long been used in Scottish lullabies (see for example Roud index no. 13514).
