as for fisher folk themselves they do not seem to have any old minstrelsy dealing with their special calling.\u00a0 If they have we have failed to recover any specimens\u201d (<i>Folk Song of the North East<\/i>, 1906-07,\u00a0 no. cliii); but there are a number of versions of this song in the Greig-Duncan Folk Song Collection (vol 3. p 268-270) and it was apparently published\u00a0 on a broadside in Dundee.<br \/>\nThey concern a conversation between stranger who approaches a young lass whom he sees collecting bait along the shore.\u00a0 Grace\u2019s verses use lines from the second and the last two verses.<\/p>\n<p>John Hughson also sang this song (see below) and while similar it\u00a0 is clearly a man&#8217;s version!<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px\"><em>For her rosie
